I started to suspect that Emily and Derek are like a group of children I taught to fiigure skate when I was 5 or about...only I had 6 pupils, not 2, each with a name and distinct character, and the lessons took place in our(I mean mine) communal flat, but we had parquet, and adults saw to that it was mostly well taken care of and polished, so it was easier to "skate", for me I mean us. I was quite a good teacher, I recall. Or so it felt.
